Privacy Policy
Last updated: 08/19/2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Hendrix Cole Odham (“we,” “us”) collects through iambeep.com and its Products (PolyShield, bvpn, Truth Seeker), and how we use it.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. Email address, and either a password (stored hashed, never in plain text) or an identifier from GitHub/Google if you sign in via OAuth.
Billing information. We do not store your card number or full payment details ourselves — that's handled entirely by our payment processor, Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID, subscription status, and which tier/add-ons you've purchased.
Licensing information. For PolyShield, we store your Keygen license key and license ID, and a small amount of device-identification data (a one-way derived fingerprint, not your raw hardware identifiers) used solely to enforce the device limit included in your subscription.
Uploaded content. If you upload a profile photo, those files are stored on our own self-hosted infrastructure (not a third-party cloud storage provider) and served publicly at the URL associated with your account/product page.
Usage data. Standard web server logs (IP address, request timestamps, user agent). For PolyShield specifically, monthly file-processing counts are tracked against your quota — we do not receive or store the contents of the source code you process.
Crash/diagnostic data (optional). If you enable crash reporting in the PolyShield desktop application, diagnostic information about the crash is sent to Sentry, a third-party error-tracking service. This feature is off unless you turn it on, and it never includes your source code.
2. How We Use Information
- To create and maintain your account and process payments.
- To provision, validate, and enforce your license(s) (quota, device limits, and which languages/features you've purchased).
- To communicate with you about your account, billing, or support requests.
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse (e.g., suspending access on a disputed charge, per our Terms of Service).
- To improve the Site and Products.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Third Parties We Share Data With
- Stripe — payment processing. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Keygen.sh — license management for downloadable software (currently PolyShield). See Keygen's Privacy Policy.
- GitHub / Google — only if you choose to sign in via OAuth; we receive the identifiers/profile info those providers share per your own privacy settings with them.
- Sentry — only if you opt into crash reporting in the PolyShield desktop app.
We don't share your data with anyone else except as required by law or to protect our legal rights.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account and billing data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligations. You can request deletion of your account and associated data — see Section 6.
5. Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including hashing passwords, using HTTPS everywhere, and never storing raw payment card data ourselves. No system is perfectly secure, though — if you find a security issue, please report it to odhamhendrix@gmail.com rather than disclosing it publicly.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you have the following rights over your personal information. Contact us (Section 8) to make any of these requests — we'll respond within a reasonable time, and in any case within the timeframe your local law requires.
If you're in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom (GDPR/UK GDPR): you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request erasure (“right to be forgotten”), restrict or object to certain processing, receive your data in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. The legal basis we rely on is performance of a contract (providing the Products you've subscribed to), our legitimate interests (fraud prevention, service improvement), and your consent (optional crash reporting). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority if you believe we've mishandled your data.
If you're a California resident (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we've collected about you, request deletion, correct inaccurate information, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, and we don't use “sensitive personal information” for purposes beyond providing the Products. You won't be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
Everywhere else: even where not legally required, we'll honor reasonable requests to access, correct, or delete your personal information on the same basis described above.
To verify your identity before fulfilling a request, we may ask you to confirm information associated with your account (e.g. the email address on file).
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the “Last updated” date above when we do.
